New titles from RIP Peace, updated stock list
Hi everyone!
It's been a little while since I've updated. The summer felt busy between some shows that I had played, some shows I had booked, and working a little more. I've updated the stock list so it is at this moment correct. Many items are very low-stock, but for now it's accurate. I'm very excited to now have some copies of several newer releases from one of my favourite labels, RIP Peace:
ABUSE SS - s/t 7"
END STATE - Blessing in Disguise 7" flexi
METH NUKE - No Fidelity, No Surrender 7"
GLUM APATHETIC SOCIETY - Endless Tiring Existence cs
LONELY CORPSE - s/t demo cs
OBELISK - demo cs
plus I have copies of the NIMMIE AMEE tape I did over the summer called Smeared Moon.
Additionally, my good friend Nara has been so kind as to print some copies of COUNTERFORCE zines for me to have pwyc in the distro. THE COUNTERFORCE is one of the best zines I've read in a long time. Every so often I see young people (under the age of 30) getting curious about the small zine section we have at the record store I work at (mostly men over the age of 50 purchasing the very cool publication called UGLY THINGS which will sometimes be lucky enough to have local legend Simon Harvey writing for them), and since STREET GLOVES played at the shop I'm glad to be able to see them off with a copy of The Counterforce. Will Foran (of BFD) is another Ontario resident who has recently produced a fanzine (focusing on hardcore and death metal) as well as a zine where he got people (including me!) to contribute an album they consider to be essential listening for someone newly getting into punk/hardcore. Chris from ZERO BARS also has a great zine called Rate of Decay I would love to see another issue of. I've carried some zines from Open Veins as well which definitely have a focus on Newfoundland punk and hardcore.
If you have a fanzine I'd love to read it. If you have a new band and have some practice recordings or a demo I would love to hear it (and maybe put it out...) Hopefully I'll have a new band cooked up before the end of the year also.
Okay that's all for now!
